They want to kill us...

Catik looked up, sharply, more at the warning tone in Ashhelm's voice than anything. Troka was moving into the room, somehow slipping past Calilome, and there was a strange look in his eyes that the man didn't like. At all. Frowning, he brought his own sword up and stepped forwards to touch it to Troka's, blocking his view of the two children who huddled, terrified, in the corner of the room. 

Loyalty's eyes flicked quickly to Strength's, then away, trying to see behind him. "What are you doing?" Catik rumbled, suspicion clear in his voice. 

"They're chaos knights, Strength. They serve Sano." Despite the man's words, there was a tremble to his voice and posture. "They have to be put down."

"Put your swords away!" Hiroshi forced his way into the room, pushing little Shywing back. Calilome reached out to catch the child by his wings and hold him back. This was hardly the place for two children, let alone three.

"If you cannot keep your head, you are excused, sir Loyalty. We serve life- death should never be our first option."

Put DOWN!? Like dogs!? Rook forced his eyes open, forced himself to watch. Catik was keeping another Ambronian away, their swords both drawn and touching. THey wanted to kill them! Suddenly the horrible words of his nightmares surfaced.They hate you. They despise you. You're just a filthy little parasite to them....even your sire wishes that you would have perished-

It was true...it was true. 

Gil's breathing sharpened. They serve Sano...

"Not yet they don't." Gil rose up to his paws and turned his back to the children. He opened his massive black wings, filling the room and hiding the two little ones behind him. "They're squires. Do your jobs right- and they will seve me."

These poor little guys are Rook (the blonde boy) and his twin sister, Queen. Both are the ...VERY unwanted offspring of Troka and both are dhampires. Unfortunately, they were both recently named as squires to the chaos knights as well and that really didn't go over well with anyone. Thankfully for them, Gil decided to take them both in and spare them from extermination.

...how he's going to learn to raise kids, no one knows, but hey, A+ for trying. XD;

Queen was named the squire of temptation and Rook the squire of Doubt. >> I'll be drawing them older soon... but I wanted some feels.
