Life in the Forest

I decided it was time for another buddy pic! These two characters belong in completely different universes and will likely never encounter one another, but I wanted to do another buddy pic for a very good friend.

has been an absolute blessing to me. We've communicated for several years and in a way, she was something of an artistic mentor to me. I followed her work starting back on elfwood (...I'm old.) and even read her novels when they released. Her first book was an anchor to sanity when I was entering college and working a graveyard shift job. We've gotten to know each other better and have become fast friends. She's been a shoulder for me to lean on over the last few months and has encouraged me in both my faith in Christ and in my artwork. I'm extremely grateful to have such a blessing in my life and such a wonderful friend to confide in.

Her character, Faeren (...the shortie there XD ) has always been among my favorites of her OC's. He's got a lot in common to my own character, Thalion, so it seemed like a fun idea to put them together. Faeren has become something of a forest spirit, living within a wood that sustains him as much as he sustains it. He clothes himself in nature and has become something of a mythical figure. It's an interesting transformation from the common foot soldier that he was back in the elfwood days. Thalion, likewise, is the guardian of life and has a strong affinity with nature. The two would likely spend a lot of time simply enjoying the quiet of the forest and having birds land on them.

Then they'd break out into a Disney-styled song and eat a salad. 8D :shot:
