Fly together

A follow-up picture to my earlier submission "Fledgeling", Jackenote has decided on something of a compromise between Kaga throwing himself off of high places and staying grounded entirely. Kaga developed much slower than actual birds so he watched as creatures his age and size took wing while he struggled to even flutter a few inches. Time and again, he tumbled down. Jacke, thankfully was fast enough to catch him most every time. At first, it was frustrating, but in time it would become clear that the longing for flight was soul deep. So rather than watch his "son" tumble to his injury or demise, he let the bird feel the wind in the only way he could- running swiftly across the plains. It wasn't actual flight, but it let Kaga feel the thrill of speed and wind in his feathers.

Jacke has a secret soft spot that Kaga's privy to...when they aren't bickering, but moments like this endeared the odd pair to one another and stood as the foundation of their relationship and roles within the camp.
